The operation and activities of our bank are based on social commitment. With our financial services we work day by day towards the establishment of a more transparent, value-centric society in Hungary. In this process, a significant role is played by Hungarian civil initiatives, which heal the wounds of our society instead of us regularly. This is the reason why we have developed our programs, through which our clients may connect with various organizations, get acquainted with their activities, assist and support them.
By joining the following programs, you can also become a participant of the MagNet community. Exercise the decision-making rights provided by us in order to simply and regularly support your favorite nonprofit organization, and do all this, of course, by using the money of the bank.
Community Donation Program
The Community Donation Program (CDP) is a social educational initiative which mobilizes our entire clientele. The program’s objective is to strengthen the group of employees and clients who commit themselves to civil initiatives actively. Furthermore, it is also our declared goal to make our clients understand and feel that the support amounting tens of millions Hungarian Forints is the result of tens of thousands of votes.
Within the framework of the CDP program, the owners of the bank forgo 10% of their after-tax profit each year and subsequently authorize the clients to help with this amount the nonprofit organizations participating in the program. Thus, due to this unique solution in Hungary, the clients of MagNet Bank are given an opportunity to donate money to the objectives that are important to them from the profit of their own bank.
The program’s success mainly depends on our clients, since they are the ones to decide whether to make any efforts towards helping the civil society. Based on the experience of the past 7 years, we are sincerely grateful to our clients for grabbing the opportunity to make a decision and ensuring the distribution of over 220 million Hungarian Forints.
Supportive bank card
Our MasterCard bankcards equipped with PayPass function make shopping fast and convenient, and furthermore, they form an integral part of the donation program, as we support the nonprofit organization selected by our clients with a certain percentage of their bankcard purchases.
By this, we are reinterpreting the concept of the so-called "cash back” cards which are already widespread on the market, in accordance with our community approach, since our clients do not acquire advantages for themselves, but rather devote those to support social initiatives through more than 150 nonprofit organizations.
Civil events, programs, workshops
Although we are a bank, we would still not like if our commitment to the civil sector included only financial assistance. Therefore, we host initiatives which promote the activities of social organizations, assist their everyday work with practical advice and those which offer opportunities to connect with each other, with Hungarian sector developers and the business community.
A good example for this is the regular event series called “Are you interested”, by which diverse civic organizations have an opportunity to introduce themselves each week.

Recommendation Card Program
One of the greatest compliments we receive is when new clients with a community attitude come to us upon the recommendation of acquaintances, friends. To ensure that others can also partake in the joy, we decided to provide financial support for civil initiatives together with our clients and people who wish to help by using the recommendations as a channel.
The functioning of the recommendation card in practice
In the framework of the Recommendation Card Program anyone can recommend MagNet Bank to their acquaintances. If the recommended acquaintance opens a retail or corporate bank account and generates a predetermined account activity during the 2 months following the opening of the account, the nonprofit organization specified by the recommender will receive support.
HUF 2,000 support will be received: by the specified nonprofit organization if the acquaintance recommended by you opens a retail bank account. Condition of the support: a minimum of HUF 50,000 account activity during the 2 months following the opening of the account.
HUF 7,000 support will be received: by the specified nonprofit organization if the acquaintance recommended by you opens a corporate bank account. Condition of the support: a minimum of HUF 200,000 account activity during the 2 months following the opening of the account.

How can I receive a Recommendation Card?
You can request a Recommendation Card from our contact persons at our bank branches, and also the Hungarian language version of the Recommendation Card necessary for such participation can be downloaded and printed at the following link.
